🌿 Rising energy costs, a small business film festival, and aguachiles

Greenpointers: National Grid wants to heat more homes with with converted food waste and make you pay for it

Who:
National Grid, a utility company, is involved in the project, with operations at the Newtown Creek wastewater treatment plant in Greenpoint.
What:
National Grid aims to expand its use of biogas from organic waste and sewage to heat homes, proposing a rate hike to fund the project. This includes new waste-to-energy plants and enhancements to existing facilities.
Why It's Important:
